Vaccine Confidence Coordinator

Our client with the State of Nevada is seeking a Vaccine Confidence Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting vaccine confidence among Nevadans by answering questions, dispelling misinformation, and providing accurate, up-to-date information. This position will also facilitate distribution of vaccine education material and information to clinicians and patients.

The department is seeking three (3) candidates to fill this position. This position is anticipated to last through December 31, 2024.

• One (1) position is located in Carson City, Nevada and serves Northern Nevada.

• One (1) position is located in Carson City, Nevada and serves rural Nevada.

• Local and statewide travel is a requirement of this position.

• Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm or other agreed upon arrangement that equals a 40 hour week.

• Must have a reliable mode of personal transportation.

• Plan, schedule and deliver in-office provider education.

• Provide vaccine education materials to patients.

• Confidence in presenting vaccine education material and public speaking.

• Report outcomes to program manager and assist with reports to the CDC.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science, or any closely related field applicable to the program area and two years of health-related experience which included researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics, developing objectives, protocols, and procedures, providing health education services to target groups or the general public, and/or investigation and prevention of communicable or chronic diseases; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must know how to use a computer, operate Microsoft Office products. Must have ability to receive, review and process a variety of documents according to established guidelines, policies, regulations, and timelines.
