Job Description: Branch Manager
This role will manage and oversee branch personnel and operations, ensuring operational efficiency on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate should be excited about building a great team and establishing a good rapport with new and existing clients in the area. A successful candidate will value teamwork, transparency and accountability above all else.
Primary Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the branch, ensuring operational efficiencies, including but not limited to:
- Warehousing/Inventory Control
- Flooring installation
- Purchasing
- Customer service
- Scheduling
- Implement and ensure the integrity of operational standards and company policies
- Perform regular job inspections to ensure efficiency, quality and safety
- Meet or exceed set budgeted operating goals (P&L management)
- Respond to and effectively manage customer complaints, ensuring exceptional customer service at all time
- Work with team members, suppliers and customers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities
- Anticipate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
- Effectively onboard, train, inspire and motivate branch employees at all levels, improving retention
- Ensure the safety of all employees, seeing that safety rules are followed, hazardous conditions are corrected, and equipment and vehicles are properly maintained
- Ensure facility is maintained in a neat and professional manner
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in operations management
- Track record of building a team and working in a team atmosphere
- Experience in all facets of management operations
- P&L management and collections experience
- Highest commitment to customer service and satisfaction
- Results driven, and customer focused
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactively solves problems, developing solutions
- Emotional maturity
- Ability to be extremely effective independently
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer service
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel, locally, 40 to 50%
Nature and Scope
- This is an exempt, full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
