Description: 

Cascade Medical (CM), located in beautiful downtown Leavenworth in the Cascade foothills of Central Washington, has an opening for a pool Rehabilitation "Rehab" Services Aide to support our Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy professionals.

Work Schedule:  This position has no guaranteed hours but provides coverage for vacation, sick leave, project work, etc.  Days and hours are variable and based on business need.  

Duties: 

The Rehab Services Aide is responsible for supporting or assisting the Rehab staff in the delivery of rehabilitation services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.  The Aide may transport patients, set up or clean up following procedures, supervise patients or assist the Therapist or Therapist Assistant during the provision of patient care.  

When not performing these tasks, the Rehab Services Aide will support overall department functions, including clerical or customer service support, cleaning and organizing equipment, serving as facilitator or a community-based exercise program, and providing activities to inpatients as part of CM's swing bed program.  In addition, we would like the person who fills this opening to consider filling our part-time Swing Bed Activities/Volunteer Coordinator (SEE separate job posting on CM's website for the job requirements of Swing Bed Activities/Volunteer Coordinator).  

Qualifications:  

- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

- Experience with rehabilitation services, wellness or exercise programs preferred.

- Must possess excellent customer service skills.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and be able to type accurately and efficiently.

- Must be a team player by cheerfully stepping up and/or going the extra mile to help co-workers.

- Must be able to thrive in a busy work environment.

- Must possess some knowledge of medical terminology.

- Must be a problem solver, self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to organize and multi-task with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.

- Must be able to bend, lift, twist, and be on knees (within prescribed safe work place practices) as necessary to perform job duties.
