Job Summary:
Ourisman Volkswagen Volvo of Bethesda is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Lane Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our service lane department, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient service processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, management, and the automotive industry. This is a full-time, salaried position located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service lane department, including scheduling, staffing, and training.
- Ensure efficient and effective service processes to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by promptly addressing and resolving any customer concerns or complaints.
- Work closely with service advisors to ensure effective communication with customers and accurate estimating and invoicing of services.
- Monitor and analyze service department metrics, such as customer satisfaction scores, profitability, and productivity, and develop plans to improve performance.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure timely completion of services.
- Stay updated on industry developments and trends to continuously improve service processes and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and purchasing of parts and supplies.
- Train and develop team members to meet high standards of customer service and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to identify potential service opportunities for customers.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college or vocational training in automotive technology or business management preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, with previous management experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems related to automotive service operations.
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of automotive service processes and industry trends.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
