BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

2. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other such reports.

3. Performs CAT Scan radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.

4. Transports patients to CAT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities.

5. Selects and operates equipment as directed.

6. Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.

7. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.

8. Attends meetings as required.

9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Graduate of AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

LICENSE: N/A

CREDENTIALS: Registration as Radiologic Technologist.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic Radiology.

SPECIAL:

PATIENT CONTACT: Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

MACHINE OPERATION: CT Scanner, laser camera, power injection, contrast warmer.

PHYSICAL:

STANDING: Majority of 8 hour shift spent standing and walking

LIFTING: Lifting required on patients of all weight ranges.

VISUAL: 20/20 or correctable vision necessary to perform and interpret scans.

HEARING &

SPEAKING: Must have the ability to hear and speak to patients presenting for various procedures.
