RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
IT Security Engineer with demonstrated knowledge in IT security network engineering. Experience with vulnerability scanning/analysis/reporting, security controls assessment, penetration testing, security engineering, security solutions architecting, system development life cycle methodologies, and advanced analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Possess security certification such as – Certified Information Systems Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH), or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal regulations and standards, such as the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Security Publication 800-53, standards and guidance published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Publications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Position will be remote with the exception of 2-3 trips a year to Maryland.
- Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
- Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
- Assisting in the development of new initiatives
