SCHEDULE: Sunday and Monday 4pm-Midnight.

Since all our programs are residential, we can't compete with remote work scheduling. We demonstrate

Under the direction of the Program Manager, assists with case management directives, care, and/or instruction to residents. Helps complete forms, securely gather appropriate information required to document, and provide information about Open Door Mission services or provide referrals. Helps direct groups pertaining to behavioral health needs, social skills, or Bible study. Performs room and chore inspections, drug testing, and ensures all house rules are followed. This position is not responsible for an independent caseload.

Direct Service Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to residents
  • Collect, verify and secure all necessary documentation for residents and determine potential barriers that clients may face when attempting to obtain assistance and/or housing
  • Under the direction of the Program Manager, assists with case management, care, and/or training to residents, or facilitate groups such as life skills or Bible readings
  • Will provide linkage/referrals to community resources for mental health, social, spiritual, recreational, and housing/basic needs
  • Observe, monitor and document resident behaviors as well as progress in accordance with agency standards
  • Assist in the implementation and supervision of recreational activities
  • Track and document financial assistance funds and/or funds that a client may receive from various income sources such as SSI, disability, employment etc.
  • Complete household chores assigned by supervisor to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • May perform drug and alcohol testing of clients as needed or required
  • Supervise and document resident medications in accordance with agency policies
  • Perform any duties necessary for effective and efficient operation of community residence

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Christian with a commitment to and a passion for "Changing Lives. Restoring Hope" in the lives of the impoverished, addicted and mentally ill
  • Exercise compassion, discernment, and models appropriate boundaries
  • Able and willing to honor the leadership, chain of command, standards and ministry objectives of ODM
  • Proficient with data entry, and computer skills for generation of daily office communication
  • Strong team player, detailed and organized
  • Ability to work positively within a change environment
  • Exposure to resource acquisition
  • Must maintain a high degree of trustworthiness and reliability
  • Requires NYS driver's license and have a driving record acceptable to ODM insurance carrier
