Ripple Effect is seeking a proactive and creative Senior Communication Associate/Events Coordinator to lead and support communications tasks in Ripple Effect's Communication and Outreach Division. This position will involve a combination of communications support, events management, task management, and working with a mix of clients and corporate colleagues.

  • Salary Range: $69,615.94- $80,058.33 (how we pay and promote) 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate high-visibility communications tasks to promote, manage and lead events for our clients, from initial planning through implementation, tracking progress on task deliverables, timelines, and quality
  • Participate in client meetings, including creating agendas and slide development, meeting facilitation, note taking, and tracking action items.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Contribute to communications outreach strategies and audience specific tactical implementation plans.
  • Create social media promotional campaign timeline and develop content for events and other initiatives.
  • Build monthly and quarterly content plans, email marketing campaigns, newsletters.
  • Manage all components of the events lifecycle (pre-, day-of, and post-event) to include managing event budgets, creating and monitoring registration sites, uploading content on websites, drafting event-related emails, plans, and social media, developing vendor RFPs, sourcing, negotiating, and selecting vendors, securing room blooks, making travel arrangements, responding to attendee and client questions, providing a day of support, reviewing and analyzing survey responses, drafting and reviewing meeting summaries, and reconciling invoices
  • Manage a shared conferences email box and respond to event attendees’ questions.
  • Prepare, edit, compile, and distribute conference materials such as digital or hard copy program books, agenda, briefing materials, PowerPoints, travel, and hotel information, etc.
  • Prepare post event reports including event summaries, key insights and take-aways, and event metrics
  • Perform other duties related to the core functions of the role

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree (Communications, Marketing, Media, Business, or other related fields)
  • 4 years of relevant communications task coordination and/or events management experience
  • 6 or more years of professional experience

Basic Requirements

  • Relevant experience leading events and communications tasks, supporting the management of task assignments, developing communications content, and helping ensure deliverables are met
  • Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented—and able to see the big picture.
  • Experience creating and adhering to event punch lists
  • Experience running government events (in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid)
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills for face-to-face interactions with clients, co-workers, and leadership and preparing high quality, client-ready deliverables
  • Ability to learn quickly and condense complex information from diverse sources into concise, attractive, and user-friendly formats.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of web-based systems such as SharePoint and Teams.
  • Experience with government contracting/consulting

Skills That Set You Apart

  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and/or Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP)
  • Experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Strong knowledge of social media, email marketing platforms, and digital marketing strategies and best practices
  • Experience analyzing social media and website metrics (Google Analytics/G4, Twitter, X, etc.)
  • Experience with health policy communications and marketing in the healthcare space
  • Experience developing communications strategies and tactical implementation plans
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic and creative skill sets
  • Experience with Microsoft Planner and other project planning tools
  • Experience writing proposals
