Construction Skilled Laborer
The Skilled Laborer is responsible for performing various activities at commercial construction sites. Under general supervision the laborer completes portions of all phases of construction as needed. Cleans and prepares sites, operates a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks, cleans up and removes waste materials.

Construction Skilled Laborer
The Skilled Laborer is responsible for performing various activities at commercial construction sites. Under general supervision the laborer completes portions of all phases of construction as needed. Cleans and prepares sites, operates a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks, cleans up and removes waste materials.
Some of the essential duties of this position:
- Cleans work areas, tools, equipment, materials etc.
- Assists other craft workers, such as equipment operators or cement finishers as needed.
- Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
- Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel, using pick, rake, and shovel.
- Moving and transferring from job to job as projects progress and work is available.
- Work with other workers in a cooperative manner.
- General labor work.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in commercial construction.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions; must be able to communicate verbally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
- Ability to perform basic math including adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying and use these operations with units of measurement such as inch, foot or yard.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license.
- Form carpentry
- Concrete finishing
- Installing water, sewer and drain lines
- Sheet metal and metal building
- Working on scaffolding and manlifts
- Working with heavy equipment
- Working with cranes
- Rigging
