Opportunity:
Virtual Service Operations is looking for a Mainframe IT Specialist to join our team. This individual will be tasked with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries hardware for one of our large clients. Additional responsibilities:
- Managing IBM z/OS Operating systems, including the use of SMP/E, JCL, IODF, HCD mapping, REXX scripting and JES2. Implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000
Qualifications:
- More than 7 years of relevant experience with IBM zSeries implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries hardware
- Experience managing IBM z/OS operating systems, including the use of SMP/E, JCL, IODF, HCD mapping, REXX scripting, and JES2
- Experienced with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM zSeries storage management systems, including VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000
- Experienced with SMP/E software installation, applying patches, upgrades, and maintenance for zOS and installed applications
- Experience with zOS JCL authoring, job submissions, and output review
- Must be willing to work 100% remotely
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
