Position Summary: As a Printer Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our service operations and ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of a wide range of equipment, including Wide Format, IT, and Small Format devices. The successful candidate will lead a team of service technicians, driving excellence in customer service, technical expertise, and operational efficiency.

Location: Washington DC Metro Area– Mobile Field Position

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/year

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of service technicians, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and continuously improving work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing training to enhance the team's technical skills.
  • Oversee the efficient scheduling and dispatch of service technicians to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Monitor key service performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and customer support teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and proactively work to exceed expectations.
  • Perform field service calls as needed to maintain hands-on experience.
  • Conduct ride-alongs with field technicians to offer technical assistance and coaching.
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in printing technologies to ensure the team's preparedness for diverse equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a management or supervisory role, demonstrating effective leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in Wide Format, IT, and Small Format equipment or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile position efficiently.

Other Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience as a service technician in a relevant field preferred.
  • Prior experience as a service manager is preferred.
