Job Description
Salary:

Title: Senior Analytic Programmer

Company Overview

Over the next ten years, there will be at least 4.6 million hospitalizations from the misuse of prescription drugs in people 65 or older, resulting in $528 billion in annual avoidable costs. RxAnte is on a mission to improve people’s health by helping them get more from medicines.  A rapidly growing, tech-enabled healthcare services company with over 30 million lives under management, RxAnte has become a leading provider of value-based pharmacy care management solutions for health plans.

RxAnte launched Mosaic Pharmacy Service in 2019, a wholly owned subsidiary designed to offer pharmacy and chronic care management services for our clients’ most medically complex and vulnerable members. Using data, advanced analytics, specialized software and pharmacy automation, Mosaic is transforming the pharmacy experience for medically complex seniors while also helping payers achieve their quality improvement and cost savings objectives.

Job Profile

RxAnte is seeking a remotely located Senior Analytic Programmer to join our growing Client Analytics team and will report directly to the Vice President of Client Analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAS (with R is a plus) programming knowledge and, as a combination position (analytic and programming), have analytic experience working with pharmacy/medical/healthcare claims. We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of experienced programmers, analysts, statisticians, researchers and data scientists, all working to support core analytic and reporting needs for our stakeholders (major health plans, pharmaceutical companies, and provider-based organizations). Our work extends beyond traditional analytic team responsibilities and tackles challenging client questions important to improving clinical programs and client success. Our custom analytics work involves both short- and long-term engagements, often beginning as ad hoc requests and eventually developing into longer-term projects and/or product deliverables. We collaborate closely with other functional areas and, although our work can be fast-paced sometimes, it is very rewarding and critical to the company’s success. We value hard work and greatly support a healthy work-life balance.

Specific responsibilities are as follows:

  • Tell us what data we need to answer the questions we have.
  • Tell us the questions we can answer with the data we have and recommend additional sources when appropriate.
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to create unique datasets.
  • Analyze the data and present a concise summary of the results annotated with the appropriate caveats.
  • Create meaningful tables/charts/graphs that can be analyzed and discussed with internal teams and then presented to clients in an accessible way.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience with a background in applied methodologies, statistics, or healthcare research / data.
  • Demonstrated working experience with prior medical / pharmacy claims experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong SAS programming skills, R and R Markdown coding a plus.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated analytic skills to problem solve effectively, draw relevant conclusions, and successfully devise/implement solutions.
  • Ability to contribute independently and within/across teams.
  • Ability to effectively work within shortened timelines when needed.
  • Client/customer facing experience desired.

Education

  • Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Biology, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Preference given to applicants with a master’s degree or PhD.
