This is a Full Time Req for our client a Virginia based products and consulting company focused on providing innovative health care IT solutions. While the client is open to 100% remote, candidates who are local and can work in a Hybrid manner

As a UX Researcher you will be a key player on the User Experience team, collaborating with a diverse group of project stakeholders, UX Designers, other team members and various project resources on an impactful and meaningful project engagement.

Responsibilities:


UX Research: Conduct in-depth UX research with techniques such as usability testing, interviews, surveys, questionnaires, user profiles and/or user personas, and other industry methodologies. Through this work, prove or disprove assumptions, find commonalities across targeted user areas, and recognize user needs, goals, and mental models all focused on creating better experiences for system users.
UX Improvement: Evaluate and validate existing system design by identifying usability problems, detecting pain points and areas for improvement, and gathering feedback on user needs and ease of use. Utilize research to provide data-based recommendations regarding potential improvements within a prioritized structure.
UX Design Collaboration: Synthesize user needs and business objectives to guide the creation of testable prototypes; collaborate in the generation of essential deliverables including user journeys, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes; collaborate in the rapid prototype and creation of human-centric designs that represent optimal solutions for end users.
Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with users from a variety of healthcare organizations to elicit their experience working with a specific system/application with the goal of improving the usability and user experience. Collaborate with the Business Owners (BOs) and Application Development Organizations (ADOs) for product development and refinement and effectively advocate for end users based on research findings.
Human Centered Design Integration: Apply approaches and methods for placing people at the center of the design process by understanding user needs, motivations, and behaviors. We work with client personnel and other contractors to provide hands-on guidance and recommendations while conducting assigned work using an agile methodology and incorporating Human Centered Design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to UX Research
  • 3+ years of professional experience in UX research or a similar role, preferably in a digital product development environment
  • Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insights from user data and research findings
  • Ability to empathize with users and effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with UX design and research tools, such as prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD), user testing platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, UserZoom), and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R)
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers
  • A portfolio showcasing past UX research projects and methodologies is highly desirable
  • Ability to proactively interact with project stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings
  • Strong understanding of Human-Centered Design
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently; flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable research data collection and analysis
