We are actively hiring an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join our Mission Technology Division working in Chantilly, VA. As an Instructional Designer, you will develop and deliver products and curriculum for adult learners. You will identify customer needs, create assessment instruments, and design, develop and deliver appropriate learning solutions. You will collaborate with multimedia developers, instructional technologists, and other instructional designers, to translate learning requirements into effective computer-mediated, blended, and classroom-based courses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Based on direction, work with clients to determine the learning need, the appropriate learning outcomes, and the most appropriate instructional methodologies based on adult learning theory.
  • Identify design concepts that should demonstrate an advanced understanding of instructional design models and learning theory, be technically sound, and consider possible constraints such as resources and capabilities, and learning environment limitations.
  • Identify information gaps and potential sources of information from which to obtain data to develop learning techniques.
  • Design, develop, and deliver instructional materials for instructor and student use in approved formats such as visuals, handouts and reference guides.
  • Document needs assessment findings to include recommendations to be used by the customer.
  • Participate in the customer's Curriculum Review Board.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • 5+ years’ experience in Instructional Systems Design strongly preferred
