Front Counter/Deli

The Front Counter/Deli Team Member is the first face all guests will see upon entering the Big Fish Seafood Market, so a friendly, positive attitude is a must! You will assist guests in purchasing items from the deli case and market, as well as take responsibility for keeping these areas clean, organized and fully stocked throughout the entirety of your shift. It is crucial that you are able to accommodate guest requests in a professional and efficient manner, while answering any questions they may have about deli or menu items accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Greet every guest promptly with a smile; interact in a professional and upbeat manner with all guests
• Ensure that deli cases and market area are fully stocked and organized at the beginning of every shift; clean and reset the deli and counter area at the end of each shift
• Slice and weigh deli items to fulfill guest orders at the counter
• Take To Go orders over the phone and keep track of orders placed online; ring up To Go orders for pickup or delivery
• Learn and maintain knowledge of Jewish delicatessen food items, including terminology and ingredients, to answer guest questions
• Ring up and take payment from each guest
• Consistently participate in team service

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Neat, clean and professional appearance
• Ability to work a deli slicer (will train) and lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficient in handling all forms of payment, including cash and credit card transactions/receipts
• Prior deli, restaurant or customer service experience a plus
• Available to work on holidays (will do a rotating schedule)
