Winding River Campground in Exeter, NH is HIRING!!!

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the “Outlaw Grille” and surrounding area. Be enthusiastic and have the passion for preparing and cooking food and we are open to train the right person for this position.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You have to have a passion for food. You’re energetic and comfortable working in a team environment within a fast-paced “Grille”. You can follow recipes and complete food orders in a timely manner.?

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Prepare food ordered by “Cantina” customers using a variety of kitchen equipment (Pizza oven, grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, food processors, etc.).

  • Always ensure proper food handling and safety.

  • Know and understand all “danger zone” temperatures”

  • Perform shift opening and closing duties, such as starting equipment and cleaning refrigeration units, grills, surrounding areas, and other kitchen equipment.

  • Maintain kitchen and cooking areas and ensure kitchen equipment and food storage areas are clean, sanitary, and organized as required by the Health Department Rules and Regulations. Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the manager.

  • Prepare and cook food as per the Restaurant SOP Manual.

  • Restock products as needed throughout the shift.

  • Regularly check the menu cycle to ensure all food items are available in advance, notifying the manager of any shortages.

  • Breaking down the “Grille”, all areas to be cleaned and sanitized.


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Cook reports to the GM/AGM.

WHAT YOU BRING ?

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must be a?minimum of 18 years old?or older

  • ServSafe food handling certification is preferred however the company will pay for the cost to get the right candidate certified.

  • Knowledge of cooking methods and techniques (preferred)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work in a hot kitchen

  • Read and follow recipes

  • Must be able to see and hear?

  • Move in a fast-paced environment
