Counselor - St. Elizabeth School - Rockville Maryland

St. Elizabeth School in Rockville Maryland is seeking a School Counselor (30-40 hours per week) - this is a full time role and will report to the Principal.

In teaching and nurturing the whole child - their mind, body, and spirit, St. Elizabeth's School believes in providing a school counselor. Our school counselor helps the students navigate through various situations that may come up in school or at home, such as friendship issues, stress and anxiety, classroom behavior, and family changes. Teachers and parents may also request the counselor meet with a student. In addition to individual meetings with students, our counselor does “fun lunches” and monthly classroom lessons. A “fun lunch” is a small group of students who come to discuss certain topics or create closer bonds with other students. During the monthly lessons, the counselor teaches about character topics, such as, kindness, cooperation, and responsibility.
