Description

Northside Christian Academy (NCA), a K-12, ACSI accredited private Christian school located in beautiful Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part-time Phys Ed/Health Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond. Founded in 1962, NCA boasts a beautiful 100-acre campus that provides plenty of room for expansion and growth. Candidates must possess a deep knowledge of Sports Management and must be comfortable with utilizing its skills on the court, in the field & in the classroom.


Requirements

The candidate must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Christ.  The candidate must adhere to and support Northside Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith and our Standards of Conduct.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, or related field from an accredited college is required.  Classroom experience is preferred but not required. 

 

Expectations:

  • Obtain/maintain teacher certification from ACSI or hold a valid state licensure and complete ACSI’s Philosophy of Christian Education and the required Bible CEUS.

 

  • Continually seek ways to further his/her spiritual growth through regular church attendance, Bible studies, etc.

 

  • Demonstrate the spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to inspire student learning.

 

  • Effectively manage classroom and discipline procedures to provide a positive classroom environment conducive to learning, including modeling effective teacher/parental partnering through timely communication with parents in support of student learning (e.g. posting of assignments, grades, conferencing).

 

  • Maintain adequate records of attendance and grades to meet the demands of the State, the request of administration, and one's own need for knowledge of student progress.

 

  • Contribute to the team effort of the faculty to best meet the spiritual, social, physical, and academic needs of the overall student body.

 

  • Attend faculty meetings, chapel services, department meetings and other school functions related to one’s own area of responsibilities.
