DescriptionJob Summary:

Provide support to the agronomy team, Consultants, Agronomic Support Technician & Agricultural Field Technician.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Field scouting for growth stage, abnormalities, etc.
  • Observe and report any unusual field conditions to appropriate project supervisor or consultant.
  • Collection of plant tissue samples using appropriate sampling methods and sample containers.
  • Collection of soil samples using an auger or push probe.
  • Water sample collection using appropriate water sample bottles.
  • Collection and interpretation of field data using soil moisture gauge, or other equipment as appropriate.
  • Assist consultants with research and special projects.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn at a fast pace.
  • Show courtesy to clients, field workers, and properties.
  • Ensure paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
  • Collect samples in accordance with Dellavalle Laboratory, Inc. protocol.
  • Communicate any uncertainty with a supervisor.
  • Create reports for Agronomist to be reviewed and presented to clients.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inventories and submits requests for supplies applicable to task(s) as needed.
  • Following Dellavalle vehicle policy and use of cell phone guidelines.
  • All personnel are responsible for complying with all quality and data integrity policies and procedures that are relevant to their area of responsibility.
  • Annually, all employees shall be given a refresher ethics and data integrity training and are required to sign off on the Ethics & Data Integrity Policy
  • As documents such as the Quality Manual or SOPs are revised, employees must attest through signature that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the latest version of the documents or other policies that they are responsible for following.
  • Additional training may be added specific to the tasks or functions the employee is specifically assigned to.
  • Attend outside training as necessary.
  • May assist or cover duties typically performed by other Administrative Assistants or Field Technicians.
  • Evaluate laboratory data and assist with data summaries and interpretation of results.
  • Other duties as assigned and qualified for, as determined by management.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • In the process of obtaining a B.S. or equivalent in a science or agriculture related field.
