Job Description

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee all financial aspects of our government contracting business. You will provide strategic financial guidance, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will develop financial plans, analyze financial data, and provide insightful recommendations to support informed decision-making. Your expertise in government contracting finance and sound financial management practices will be instrumental in driving our organization's continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, to support the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and compliance measures, ensuring adherence to government contracting regulations and accounting standards.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational needs and optimize financial resources.
  • Oversee risk management activities, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks associated with government contracts and business operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and financial implications to drive profitability and minimize risk.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring financial considerations are integrated into business decisions and initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of changes in government contracting regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors, government agencies, and financial institutions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
