Sales Operations Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating orders from initial entry, to scheduling for manufacture, to invoice of the product. They ensure orders are entered in the Epicor system correctly, approved by the customer, and scheduled for production. The position also provides sales and administrative support to the Sales team, our customers, and the Sales Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Accurately enter complex orders; complete, and verify sales information such as: sales orders, change orders, order acknowledgements, and misc. sales data in a timely manner.
  • Recognize the need and issue changes in orders and distribute as required.
  • Supports the sales function by assisting with quoting, copying, problem resolution, and other sales-related activities as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing, maintaining, and filing department reports and records, accurately and timely.
  • Communicate, in person, in writing, via telephone, email or other electronic means with people inside and outside the company, representing the department and company to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of parts, service, and products manufactured or distributed by the company.
  • Assist with transportation and logistics functions of the department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to communicate through email and give thorough explanations.
  • A mechanically inclined competence is beneficial.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in data entry and order processing.
  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Meets minimum requirement of a High School Diploma with two years office experience including data entry.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word, excel managing files and records, and other office procedures.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
