Hours: Monday – Wednesday: 3:15 PM – 2:45 AM; Thursday: 3:15 PM – 10:15 PM; Overtime as needed

Job Summary:

The CNC Mill Operator will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate high-quality metal parts and components. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming and operation, as well as a good eye for detail, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. This is a night shift position.

JOB SUMMARY: As the CNC Mill Operator, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of the Omag Mills.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Operating and maintaining Omag Mills
  • Using cranes to load and unload work from the machines
  • Loading programs from the network
  • Preparing the mill bed with the necessary brackets and risers
  • Leveling and aligning stone to the axis on the mill bed
  • Reviewing program sheets with stone and shop tickets to verify that the correct stone and tools are loaded
  • Assembling mill tools as needed for the program and disassembles tools when the job is complete
  • Monitoring machine operation
  • Verifying work quality by applying patterns and measuring stone
  • Using large hammers and pry bars to position the stone on the mill bed
  • Assisting crane operators
  • Performing 5S and Total Productive Maintenance duties on mills, tool benches, and work area
  • Working as a team and cross-training in other areas as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using CNC machine controls and measuring instruments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and meet production targets within specific time frames.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials when required.
  • Strong adherence to safety regulations and guidelines.
