Production Operator

Innovive is a consistently growing manufacturing company serving the biomedical research community. The Production Operator for the Bedding Line contributes to the success of Innovive through filling and packaging cage bottoms for our rodent cage systems in a climate controlled room. This position requires attention to detail and a team player. This full time position will work under a Team Leader and report to the Production Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

• Load empty cage bottoms into denesting machine

• Monitor AMS machine to ensure correct amounts of bedding are being piped into the cage bottoms

• Hand place empty cage bottoms on conveyor belt as needed

• Lift and count filled cage bottoms

• Double bag and zip tie product closed

• Build boxes and pack cage product to push through taping machine

• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies, identifying and reporting unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately

• Adhere to PPE requirements at all times both inside and outside of the department

• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Palletize final product, by hand when necessary

• Meet individual and team goals

• Safely operate a pallet jack

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Working knowledge of automated operations, ideally with experience in filling and/or packaging

• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required

• Experience with pallet jack is a plus

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

PPE Requirements: PPE including but not limited to, eye protection, gloves, face masks, hair & beard nets, and ear plugs are provided by Innovive.
