General Summary: 

The Program Manager is responsible for strategically guiding a project, a group of related projects or a combination of projects that together support a strategic business initiative. Employing an organization wide view, the Program Manager monitors the requirements and progress of all strategic initiatives to help the development team meet the end goal of the initiative. The Program Manager will report to the President of Field Operations.  


Preferred Job Skills:

  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills with understanding of the working operational requirements of an electrical contracting company. 
  • Ability to foster communication and coordination with cross-functional teams/departments.
  • Possess advanced computer and keyboard skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer, or employee related information.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • High level of professional business acumen.


Mandatory Hiring Requirements:

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and create the Program plan and also the management plan based upon the company’s strategic goals provided.
  • Identify and build the program team and department job descriptions, roles and responsibilities, and objectives
  • Define the program governance.
  • Plan the overall program and monitor the progress, managing timelines and deliverables.
  • Daily program management throughout the program lifecycle monitoring the program’s KPIs for performance.
  • Manage the program’s budget.
  • Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements.
  • Coordinate the projects and their interdependencies.
  • Manage and utilize resources across projects.
  • Manage stakeholders’ communication to include updates to executives on program progress, issues, and risk.
  • Create and manage the program documents and the process for those documents.
  • Ensure the program is meeting the strategic goals of the company’s long-term planning.  


Position Requirements:

  • License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of work experience as a Project/Program Manager or similar position required.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a climate-controlled office setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.
  • Considerable amount of time making repetitive motions.
  • Considerable amount of time sitting.
  • Considerable amount of time using telephone and computer.
  • Sounds and noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.
  • 15% Travel may be required.


Required Physical/Mental Functions:

  • Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
  • Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions.
  • Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 5 pounds.
  • Tolerant to prolonged sitting.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
