The position of Associate Attorney with our firm also offers the unique discretion to manage your own caseload. While we do expect our attorneys to spend in-person time at their respective regional offices, this is by no means a “desk job”. For those individuals seeking a non-traditional office environment, our attorneys benefit from being able to practice in multiple jurisdictions and spending time outside of the office by traveling to different appearances. Our regional offices each handle a unique part of the state including Buffalo, the Adirondacks, Syracuse, Albany, and the Hudson Valley. We have opportunities for individuals looking to join our team in each of these regions.

Additionally, we invest in the development of our attorneys and want them to grow professionally as we grow as a firm. That is why Tom Anelli & Associates has also instituted a robust CLE and attorney development program, whereby attorneys will have access to free recorded CLEs from around the state, coupled with live programming from various experts in the vehicular defense field.

• Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
• Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
• Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys

• Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
• Successful completion of the bar exam
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base

Tom Anelli & Associates practices solely in the area of DWI Defense. They are focused exclusively on protecting those wrongfully accused of DWI and helping those who have made an error in judgment.

We consider our clients more important than ourselves. As a result, unlike most firms, we assist clients during the evening, weekends and even on holidays. We consider the fact that our clients are anxious and unfamiliar with being charged with a crime and we do our best to make ourselves available to help them at all hours.
