The Masonic Medical Research Institute (MMRI), a world-class private research Institute, invites outstanding candidates to apply for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor, commiserate with experience and qualifications. The MMRI seeks exceptional, collaborative, and dynamic basic or translational investigators with a history of rigorous scholarship and funding track records.


These distinguished positions offer significant resources to support successful candidates to build existing independent research efforts and create new collaborations with basic, clinical, and translational research leaders within our Institute, with nearby Central New York-area affiliated hospitals and Institutions, and with national/international colleagues and collaborators.

Requirements:


Applicants are expected to have an M.D., Ph.D., or both. We are particularly interested in individuals with research experience in cardiovascular genetics, metabolism, inflammation, or heart failure, though outstanding investigators in any area of cardiovascular research will be considered. Candidates should also have an established history of scholarly achievement and demonstrable success in grant writing.


We expect our faculty to be fully engaged in all activities and duties associated with the position, including conducting research, teaching, and mentoring students and fellows. Responsibilities include securing competitive extramural funding, conducting research and publishing research findings, and supervising and supporting postdocs and graduate students.
