Exciting opportunity to join the Avera Hand County Memorial Laboratory in Miller, SD. 

This positon is eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year committment. 

This position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program which helps pay off your loans and save money.  Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principle balance faster. 

Job Summary

Provides a vital role in the laboratory. The primary responsibility is to provide accurate and timely results and to provide the best care for our patients. The Medical Lab Technician must be able to provide various testing in the area of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, bacteriology, serology, and blood banking.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate's degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

 Certification, Licensure, Registration

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP or AMT required within one year of hire. 

Work Schedule

• Days: 7am to 5pm
• Every 4th weekend/holiday rotation with call time.
• Full time; 72 hours every two weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
