Reports to Manager of Rebate Accounting

$115-120K plus 10% Bonus

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise two senior rebate accountants, overseeing 135+ rebate programs across 47+ rebate vendor s totaling ~$47M annually
• Manage various general ledger accounts and month-end and year-end close processes
• Support the implementation and effectiveness of all back-end vendor rebate programs
• Maintain vendor rebate revenue to ensure all rebate opportunities are recognized, maximized, claimed, and compliant with vendor and internal finance requirements
• Acts as a liaison with product management and vendors to analyze and account for rebate revenue
• Create month end journal entries and perform rebate account reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and documenting the supporting evidence
• Review direct report's journal entries and vendor reconciliations providing feedback where necessary
• Lead monthly rebate meeting to share financials and program findings with senior leadership team
• Other ad hoc reporting based on business needs

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting

• Supervisor experience a plus
• Retail industry experience a plus
• CPA preferred

Required Skills

• Excellent Analytical Skills
• Strong communication /presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, including SUMIFs, XLOOKUPS, and pivot tables Ability to use complex formulas and analyze large quantities of data
• Ability to articulate processes and research results
