Job Description
SUMMARY/FUNCTION:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing the Purchasing department; overseeing procurement of all materials, services, and equipment required for successful operations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the staff is trained on company policies and procedures.
- Recommend vendors and places the order with selected vendor in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate the status of any order pending with respective departments.
- Communicate effectively with departments on purchasing issues and compliance with company purchasing policy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations.
- Manage Warehouse/Receiving areas and are responsible for maintaining inventory levels and pars within the warehouse.
- Assist in preparation of department budget.
- Recommend procedures for department.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the inventory system.
- Responsible for keeping departments advised with respect to lead-time on critical material or affected products.
- Maintains good company image and supplier relations through daily supplier contact.
- Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
- Must be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends as necessary.
- Must be available for regularly scheduled work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- three (3) years’ experience in a Management position
- Three (3) years’ related warehouse work experience
- Must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
