Xometry is actively seeking a Vice President, Strategic Finance and FP&A. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our management system, implementing advanced forecasting tools, and ensuring the delivery of precise and timely financial reporting. As a trusted business partner and advisor, you will engage extensively with the C-suite, and lead the charge in transforming our organization into a data-driven powerhouse that fosters accountability through well-defined targets and metrics.

We are seeking an individual comfortable in a fast-paced startup-like environment, eager to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere. Your role will involve strategic analysis in a cross-functional, matrixed organization spanning multiple product lines and geographies. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a knack for driving business insights and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Trusted business partner and advisor
  • Lead the company planning cycle, overseeing long-range planning, annual plans, and monthly/quarterly forecasts
  • Conduct monthly business reviews, creating relevant reporting packages
  • Analyze financial and operational results, identifying business trends, variances, and levers, providing insights to senior management
  • Act as a thought leader, partnering with management to drive sound financial decisions and operational efficiencies
  • Generate ad hoc analyses to support key business decisions and contract negotiations
  • Implementation and management of cloud based forecasting applications (e.g. Anaplan or Adaptive insights)
  • Application of innovative techniques, such as ML and decision making psychology, to business and initiative forecasting and decisions
  • Instill finance discipline, promoting fact-based decision-making and financial visibility throughout the organization
  • Evaluate the company's progress towards goals, recommending new initiatives, and driving dialogue on organizational KPIs
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for management and Board of Directors meetings
  • Develop business cases to support new investments, strategic decisions, and M&A activities, including valuation analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, and integration

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of Finance/FP&A experience with 5+ yrs of leadership experience
  • Experience in a fast-growing company, with a track record of scaling planning, forecasting, and reporting in growth-oriented environments
  • Current public company experience
  • Familiarity with public company quarterly close and reporting cadence, along with a strong understanding of GAAP accounting policies and revenue recognition requirements
  • Proven success as a change agent in a high-growth and scale environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to internal stakeholders and external audiences
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual, motivated and able to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in complex financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Looker
