About this job
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly financial statements.
* Review and approve payroll prepared by outside processor.
* Prepare daily cash reporting dashboard.
* Record periodic journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly sales commissions and analysis reports.
* Document business processes and identify ways to improve efficiency and spending.
* Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
* Analyze and summarize financial information.
* Coordinate with external accountants for annual review services.
* Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
Experience:
* Proven experience as an accountant in a manufacturing company
* Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
* Experience with the Microsoft Office platform
* Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (ex: Infor Syteline)
* BS degree in Accounting or Finance
* Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred
* Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
* Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
