Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a part-time Re-Engineered Discharge Nurse (RED) for the Resource Pool.
Position Overview:
This position is for a nurse to provide discharge education teaching to patients throughout their stay and at discharge. Communicate with providers for needed orders, call patients after discharge to follow up, and rotate amongst the units to help assist if needed.
Seeking an RN with discharge experience that has a passion for patient teaching. This nurse should enjoy building relationships with a goal of improving hospital metrics.
Part-time, 24-hours per week
9:30am - 6:00pm
Every other weekend required
