Crane Operator Job Summary
\nWe are seeking a Crane Operator to ensure all crane and lifting operations are performed safely. The Crane Operator is responsible for rigging and moving of equipment and materials and ensures all deck / equipment maintenance areas are kept clean and all tools are properly stored or racked in designated areas at all times.
\nCrane Operator Responsibilities

- Complete daily inspection sheets at the start of each shift\n
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner\n
- NCCCO certified on the proper use of the equipment to be used by training and evaluation\n
- Ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) are in place for all lifting operations\n
- Perform pre-use checks prior to commencing any operations\n
- Ensure that the lifting appliance and lifting gear are in good condition and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for use, specifications, and instructions\n
- Ensure the lifting appliance is maintained in accordance with the maintenance program\n
- Carry out pre-use check of the lifting appliance\n
- Ensure necessary communication is established between all personnel involved in the operation\n
- Coordinates the lifting operation in relation to other on-going activities\n
- Report any damage to cranes, equipment, or the installation immediately to the Supervisor\n
- Operate lattice boom, friction style, crawler cranes and rough terrain hydraulic cranes from floating platforms\n
Crane Operator Position Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent\n
- Current Crane Operator license: Friction and Hydraulic Crane NCCCO Certification\n
- 2+ years experiences as a licensed Crane Operator\n
- Driver’s License or Passport \n
- TWIC or be able to obtain\n
Crane Operator Preferred Requirements

- Confined Space Awareness Training\n
- Experience on operating the heavy equipment from floating platform\n
- NCCIC A/D Director Certification\n
- Lifting Director Certification\n
- Rigging Certification\n
- Forklift Operator Certification\n
- Shipyard Competent Person Training\n
- OSHA 10 Hour\n
- Fall Protection Awareness\n
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER\n
- 8 Hour HAZWOPER\n
- First, Aid CPR, AED\n
- BOSIET with HUET\n
- STCW with MMC\n
