UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Benefits Administrator to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Administer benefits for all associates including new hires, family status changes and annual changes. Provide ongoing benefits administration, analysis, billing, and reporting of overall company benefits programs including disability and leave management. Provide management of benefit documents and forms, plus maintenance of electronic documents in the HR drive and UKG Website. Ensure benefit plans are administered according to plan provisions and company's regulatory guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain and update associate records and benefit files.
2. Maintain benefits platform in UKGPro to include Life Event and Open Enrollment setup.
3. Review and approve life status change request including follow-up to resolve issues and ensure supporting documentation has been received.
4. Coordinate daily benefits processing, including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
5. Advise and inform associates of the details of the company's benefit programs.
6. Resolve benefit-related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner.
7. Manage monthly benefit plan invoices and reconciliations. Work with vendor partners and benefit brokers to resolve issues.
8. Collaborate with payroll and ensure that associate contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
9. Support the annual 401(k) audit and open enrollment process.
10. Maintain and create records, reports, and documents in accordance with federal, state and provider regulations.
11. Analyze, research, prepare, correct, provide reporting to vendor, and fund the 401(k) payroll contributions automatically uploaded to Fidelity.
12. Maintain wellness data and links on the Company SharePoint site.
13. Audit 401(k) eligibility, termination, and address change reports to Fidelity.
14. Report on COBRA enrollments to be used for monthly billing by all members of the benefits team.
15. Manage leave of absence process to include Federal and pertinent state leave entitlement, short-term and long-term disability, and paid time off through the UKG Workforce Absence system.
16. Partner with Risk Management on work related leaves of absence.
17. Organize and manage the benefits' shared drive, including the updates of documents as needed.
18. Develop, maintain, and update procedures for benefit-related processes.
19. Provide simple Cognos 8 reporting, with ability to change report fields as necessary.
20. Provide backup support to the benefits team during any absences.
21. Assist with special projects within the benefits department.
22. Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Overall knowledge of company benefit plans, the plan's regulatory compliance guidelines. Knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures. Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Attention to details, organizational skills and analytical skills are required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret benefit reports and various documents. Must have the ability to exercise initiative, problem solve and decision-making skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Ability to apply intermediate concepts of math. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An understanding of technical systems and use of the internet.
  • Ability to proactively recognize and implement superior customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Professional interpersonal skills. Ability to work in conjunction with Company managers and associates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from associates and managers.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications. Skilled in the use of spreadsheet, and word processing software. Ability to process computer data to write, format and generate simple reports. Ability to compose and edit written materials.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

2. Minimum of two to three years' experience in HR benefits administration or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

3. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted.

Hourly Range:
* $25.48/hr. - $31.25/hr., depends on experience

Bonus Potential:
* Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
