JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Technician II is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, coordinating and/or performing facilities maintenance-related activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Models' ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizen's core values, ethics, and information protection policies.

  • Responds to work order requests. Serves as lead troubleshooting technician prior to escalating issues. Takes appropriate action with resolving issues related to equipment/furniture maintenance and repair, electrical, lighting, HVAC, workplace safety, and other general operations and maintenance needs. Supports third party vendors as needed. Ensure proper documentation in CAFM from assignment through close-out. Assists with set ups, moves and installations regarding office space. (i.e moving boxes, furniture, and filing cabinets).
  • Maintains supplies and organization of breakrooms, Facilities storage room and common area spaces. Reports when inventory and stock is low. Coordinates the procurement of goods and services needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Supports and validates corrective action on reported safety concerns. Assists in monitoring and notifying management of potential safety issues or hazards in the workplace, submits CAFM as appropriate. Practice proper use of equipment and good safety protocols. Encourage and promote a culture of safety within the organization. Actively participate and support safety drills and tabletop exercises. Conducts routine facility inspections to assist in identifying safety and deficiency issues; notifies management of potential safety issues or hazards in the workplace.
  • Provides direct support with Facilities related system projects (CAFM, Velocity, etc.) for maintenance and upgrades as needed. Supports fleet vehicle maintenance requirements as needed. Communicates asset location changes and assists with condition assessments and disposition process requests.
  • Provides CATOPS support as needed, and/or required by the BU response plans. Supports CRC and Business Continuity Tests.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of how to use Microsoft products.
  • Basic Arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all customers.
  • Exhibit the ability to learn new skills and system operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple and varied responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to change quickly to the environment and operation needs.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work extended hours and support Catastrophe Operations if needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma | GED (required)
  • 2 years' experience with facilities maintenance
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company owned/rented vehicles according to Citizen's policy on vehicle use as necessary.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION

  • Familiar with general office operations and maintenance, terminology, and trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Carpentry, etc.)
  • 2 or more years' experience in a facilities maintenance role in an office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of general office operations and maintenance terminology and trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Carpentry, etc.)
  • Experience in reading floor plans.
