Job Description

Jefferson Solutions, a well-respected government consulting company of the Jefferson Consulting Group, woman-owned small business, is looking for Senior Contract Specialist to provide services for our client at the Government Publishing Office (GPO), Acquisition Services (AS). In this position, you will provide the full range of acquisition services in support of GPO AS. This position will be fully remote.


Responsibilities:

Provide direct acquisition and procurement support on all GPO AS procurements and acquisitions enterprise-wide from inception through award providing high quality critical thinking and analysis, and technical writing support in f the following:

  1. Demonstrated understanding and practical experience of acquisition management principles throughout the full project lifecycle (pre-award to closure).
  2. Experience with GSA Schedules, GWACS, and MA IDIQs.
  3. Experience managing multiple contract types for supplies and services (e.g., FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF).
  4. Conducting market research, evaluating quotes and proposals and using SAM.gov, GSA Advantage, NASA SWEP resource sites.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • BA or BS degree in a business-related field, management or legal field, plus
  • Fifteen (15) years of direct procurement experience in federal government and/or private sector.
  • Proven practical knowledge and excellence of applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other USG policies. Experience working with GSA Schedules, GWACS, and MA IDIQs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience of acquisition management principles throughout the full project lifecycle (pre-award to closure).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple contract types for supplies and services (e.g., FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF).
  • Demonstrated Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and working effectively in a team environment:
  • Ability to anticipate and establish paths to avoid problems and manage administrative processes on behalf of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with teams in a demanding work environment. Proven ability to establish positive and productive working relationships at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Proven ability to set a positive example for productive teamwork and be proactive in mitigating any misunderstandings, expand working relationships and ability to effectively influence relationships for a positive productive outcome.
  • Possess an advanced understanding of the procurement business discipline, be able to obtain, research and provide and analyze detailed and complex contracting information, track, organize, and analyze procurement information in a coherent business presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure own work, and work of others is of a consistent high quality in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Proven ability to create presentations and data enriched reports and provide recommendations and findings.
  • Practical advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint.
  • FAC Professional or FAC C III or equivalent required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Master's degree business related field or legal field, plus 20 years direct procurement experience, in combination of the federal government procurement and/or private sector procurements.
  • Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or similar certification in government procurement practices.
  • Practical knowledge of data visualization and advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI.
  • FAC Professional or FAC C III or equivalent.
