Proper Hospitality is seeking a Bartender at Montauk Yacht Club, a 107-room luxury property set to debut within The Collective. Spanning 35 acres on Montauk's Star Island, Montauk Yacht Club offers waterfront views, a private beach, three pools, multiple dining options and over 200 wet slips that can accommodate boats from small day cruisers to 300-foot superyachts. As a Bartender, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an unforgettable dining and beverage experience to our guests. You will be responsible for crafting and serving a wide range of cocktails and beverages while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation and guest satisfaction.

Job Overview

* Assess guests' needs and preferences, and make recommendations

* Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

* Prepare, restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

* Stay guest-focused and nurture an exceptional guest experience

* Open and close the bar

* Observe and follow all applicable laws regarding the sales and service of alcohol

* Speak eloquently about the hotel, restaurant and menu

* Prioritize guests' needs above service team member convenience

* Gain insights to guests' dining preferences through verbal and nonverbal cues

* Maintain the ambiance and service standards of the hotel at all times while on property

* Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures and standards

* Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies

* Follow all standard operating procedures as it pertains to cash handling

Skills/Knowledge Required

* Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment

* Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks

* Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

* Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

* Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

* Collaborate with colleagues cross-departmentally

* Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

* Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team
