SALES ENGINEER (greater Tampa Bay, FL area)
We seek a Sales Engineer to join a direct client who is an industry leader of mission-critical data center cooling solutions, power protection, and commercial air purification needs. This is a direct-hire opportunity in which the Sales Engineer will develop, grow, and maintain clients in the west central, FL area (Tampa, FL south to Ft. Myers, FL). The ideal location for applicants to reside is between Tampa, FL and Sarasota, FL.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on data center cooling solutions and power protection, and residential and commercial air purification needs
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs. Provide technical support during the sales process, including product demonstrations, presentations, and solution architecture design.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business objectives and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations to address their data center requirements.
  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive solutions that address customer requirements while maximizing performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Create detailed proposals and quotes, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and budgetary constraints.
  • Project Management: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate the implementation of data center solutions. Ensure seamless project execution, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings. Leverage market insights to identify new business opportunities and drive continuous improvement in our solutions portfolio.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers to enhance their understanding of our client's technologies and product offerings.
Sales Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
  • 5+ years as a Sales Engineer, selling complex technical / mechanical solutions to clients
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center technologies (i.e. cooling, power protection) and/or purification solutions or similar.
  • Proven track record in technical sales or pre-sales engineering roles, preferably within the
  • Understanding of data center architecture, infrastructure components, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel in the as needed to meet with customers in the west central FL Collaborative and supportive work environment within a dynamic and growing company
