Description
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an Airframe and Powerplant License and (8) years practical maintenance experience with (4) years in a leadership/management position for maintenance projects.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports directly to the KACC General Manager. The Project Manager acts as a team leader, overseeing and coordinating all personnel requirements and successful execution of the assigned work-scope to include all reporting requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of the assigned project by ensuring quality, schedule, and budget are achieved by coordinating with all departments supporting the project. The Project Manager will be responsible for being the primary contact to KACC General Manager. The Project Manager may interact with the customer at the discretion and delegation of the KACC General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manages, develops and performs complex master planning and project planning requirements for assigned work-scope to include personnel, facilities, materials and tooling requirements.
  2. Prepares planning documents and schedules for periodic reporting requirements detailed in the assigned work-scope.
  3. Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administration and technical data, to assure the most efficient and cost effective execution of assigned project.
  4. Actively manages budget, schedule and material requirements to successfully complete the assigned project. Communicates with KACC General Manager for all matters necessary to customer satisfaction and schedule adherence.
  5. Reviews reports prepared by others for quality and accuracy and prepares reports for submission to KACC General Manager.
  6. Coordinates and oversees all outside services and engineering necessary for work-scope execution. Manages Over and Above estimates for submission to KACC General Manager and customer.
  7. Recommends, coordinates, prepares and tracks project timelines and costs.
  8. Manages all safety, security and training requirements as detailed in the assigned work-scope.
  9. Maintains an understanding of overall project issues and goals.
  10. Works with others in a team or as a team leader on more complex projects/ studies.
  11. Coordinated with KACC Planning and Controller for funding and billing requirements.
  12. Manages personnel travel, transportation and lodging where required by work-scope and funding definition.
  13. Prepares presentations for KACC General Manager as required for customer presentation.
  14. Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
LANGUAGE ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Software: Information Management System (Aviation), Access, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet software, MS Project Management, E-mail.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

A&P Mechanics license.

Passport and International Driver's License for OCONUS Projects.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level is usually moderate and this position is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT USED:

Manages all OSHA and project required safety elements.
