We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director, Biomarkers and Precision Medicine to join the team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, with experience in rare disease, biomarkers, complex datasets, epidemiological research, and clinical trials. Responsibilities:
- Lead biomarker efforts for assigned compounds
- Design and oversee execution of biomarker validation, analytical and/or clinical
- Provide input to compound development and clinical teams, and supervise the biomarker related aspects of clinical studies to effect biomarker utilization, validation and application
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CROs, to ensure successful drug discovery and development.
- Leverage your expertise in gene therapy and/or rare disease to drive innovation and advancement in the field.
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the industry, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of biomarker and precision medicine research.
Qualifications:
- A PhD or MD in a relevant scientific field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Experience with epidemiological research, analysis of complex datasets, and implementation of biomarkers in clinical trials
- Background in bioanalytical experience, including immunogenicity and vector PK/misdistribution assay experience
- Proven experience in biomarker discovery and validation, and precision medicine..
- Experience with gene therapy, rare disease or CNS is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex scientific concepts.
- A passion for scientific research and a drive to contribute to the advancement of biomarker and precision medicine.
