Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director, Biomarkers and Precision Medicine to join the team. This role will be pivotal in driving our scientific research forward, focusing on the direction, planning, execution, data collection/interpretation in clinical trials. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, with experience in rare disease, biomarkers, complex datasets, epidemiological research, and clinical trials. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to life-changing research and development in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead biomarker efforts for assigned compounds
  • Design and oversee execution of biomarker validation, analytical and/or clinical
  • Provide input to compound development and clinical teams, and supervise the biomarker related aspects of clinical studies to effect biomarker utilization, validation and application
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including CROs, to ensure successful drug discovery and development.
  • Leverage your expertise in gene therapy and/or rare disease to drive innovation and advancement in the field.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the industry, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of biomarker and precision medicine research.

Qualifications:
  • A PhD or MD in a relevant scientific field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience with epidemiological research, analysis of complex datasets, and implementation of biomarkers in clinical trials
  • Background in bioanalytical experience, including immunogenicity and vector PK/misdistribution assay experience
  • Proven experience in biomarker discovery and validation, and precision medicine..
  • Experience with gene therapy, rare disease or CNS is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex scientific concepts.
  • A passion for scientific research and a drive to contribute to the advancement of biomarker and precision medicine.
