Job Details



Responsibilities:
As a Trusts & Estates Attorney, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on matters related to estate planning, trusts, wills, probate, and elder law.
2. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning documents.
3. Guide and advise clients on estate planning strategies to preserve wealth, minimize tax liability, and ensure the smooth transition of assets.
4. Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with all legal, fiduciary, and tax obligations.
5. Assist elderly clients with legal issues such as long-term care planning, guardianship, conservatorship, and elder abuse litigation.
6. Stay updated on the latest legislative and regulatory changes affecting estate planning and elder law.
7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure excellent client service.
8. Conduct seminars and workshops to educate clients and the community about estate planning and elder law issues.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an estate planning attorney, with a strong focus on trust administration and elder law.
4. Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations related to estate planning, trusts, probate, and elder law.
5. Proven track record of successfully advising clients on estate planning strategies and representing them in probate and trust administration matters.
6. Exceptional drafting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
10. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in the field of estate planning and elder law.
