Ortho/Trauma Nurse Manager

Job Description:

This Nurse Manager role is going to oversee an 18-bed unit for an orthopedic trauma floor.  They will provide administrative and operational responsibility for Ortho Trauma department, including management of cost and finance, human resources, operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes, patient/physician and staff satisfaction. This individual will serve as part of the entity management team and Shared Governance Model focused on promoting the mission, vision and values of this large health system. They will be responsible for succession planning, identifying talent, providing support, education, and resources to grow future nursing leaders. Lastly, they will be required to assist in staffing as necessary to provide clinical care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Unit Ratios: 1:5 RN and 1:9 PCT

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years nursing experience within an inpatient hospital setting 
• At least 1 year of nurse leadership experience – Inpatient
• Familiar with managing Charge Nurses and Unit Base Educators  
• Registered RN for State of Georgia
• BLS certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN Preferred
• Ortho/Trauma specific experience
