Outside Plant Technician (Fiber Splicer)

OFFER:

• $1280-1500 monthly per diem (Paid out every 2 weeks in payments of $640-750)

• Willing to accept candidate from anywhere as long as they are willing to travel/stay living to the West Coast. (California, Seattle, Utah, Colorado, Oregon)

Duration: Long-term; approx. 2 years

MUST HAVE: Fiber Splicing (must have the splicing portion)

Location: South Bay Area of California.

Tech 3 ($33)

Tenure: 12 months+

Description: Tenured Coax/Fiber production splicer. Has completed fiber training and can complete basic fiber splicing (pig tail of node and non-critical case work). Primary trainer. Has oversight responsibilities on day of cut activity within assigned node. Can identify network design issues and work to resolve as needed. Capable of troubleshooting network and powering issues under supervision of Sr OSP Field Engineer. Able to work outside in all-weather climates, work at varying heights (in a bucket truck) and in vaults, working extended periods of time from a ladder, lift 50-100lbs. Able to work evening hours or overnight during maintenance window (1am – 5am) when required.
