Summary HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Business Operations Manager to support our Program Management Office (PMO) for a large multi-year/multi-effort Task Order. The Business Operations Manager will work closely with our PMO staff in support of up to 20 different projects and Project Managers throughout Europe. The Business Operations Manager's responsibilities include the coordination and leadership of our management support team to ensure all of our projects are fully supported to ensure they remain on time, within budget, and scope. Oversees all aspects of the PMO including financials, deployment coordination, deliverables, logistics, and travel. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of new initiatives to improve PMO support to Project Managers. Prepares reports for government customers and Program Managers regarding the status of the overall Task Order. The successful candidate will work directly with our Project Managers and lead our PMO team to ensure policies are clearly communicated, processes are clearly defined, and support is provided to ensure their project's success. What You Will Do * Oversees and manages the Program Management Office in support of ongoing projects which provides direct support to project managers. * Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. * Assesses issues in the PMO or the support PMO provides and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. * Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and clients. * Serve as the company's primary point of contact for Program Management Office items and appropriately manage personnel, performance, scope, schedule, and budget matters for the company's contract support team. * Provide overall technical and financial management of tasks and milestones associated with contractual agreements. * Manage relationships and expectations with project managers, companies we have a contractual relationship with, and our employees. * Regularly engage with Program stakeholders. * Lead the analysis of business requirements. * Lead the development of monthly progress reports detailing work performed, schedule of activities, and issues/concerns arising or potentially arising in the following month's efforts. * Review and correct as necessary all information deliverables for the contract before they are submitted to the Government client. * Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. What We Are Looking For * 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience. * 5 years of Financial Management experience working on Defense contracts. * 3 years of experience working on ISR or Aviation Management contracts. * Experience managing performance-based projects and/or programs with multiple international performance locations. * Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations. * Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. * Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. Preferred: Bonus Points For... * Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level Ill Program Management certification. * 3+ years of experience in managing Cost type contracts in support of the Department of Defense. * 3+ years of experience of contractor requirements with Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) requirements throughout Europe and the DOCPER office and regulations for contractors working in Germany or Italy. * 3+ years of experience in managing contracts awarded and administrated by GSA AAS. * 3+ years of experience with using Smartsheet in the management of projects and the utilization of Office 365 products to flatten communications with a geographically dispersed organization.
