Job Description

This team is looking for a Release Engineer to help grow and enhance the capabilities of GitHub Actions while providing internal developers with the resources they need to deploy quality software quickly and securely across the application portfolio. This is a fast-paced group at the center of securing and enhancing Engineering’s development workflows. To succeed in this role, you should be self-motivated and excited to be part of an innovative and ever-evolving DevOps team. Your demonstrated expertise in GitHub Actions and Best Practices of Modern CI/CD Workflows will be essential to this role.

Responsibilities of This Role

· Build, innovate, and understand existing workflows and processes that customers need to translate to modern CI/CD tooling and platforms like GitHub Actions.

· Continuously evaluate, develop, and maintain examples and resources to easily allow internal developers to incorporate industry-standard tooling and security best practices into their GitHub Action workflows.

· Customer Support - part of this role will be interacting and supporting our customers.

Desired Skills and Experience

· Experience in applying security best practices to Linux environments.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address bottlenecks in CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)

· Production experience creating and using Docker images / containers

· Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.

· Experience with AWS including EC2, RDS, ELB, and EKS technologies.

· Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling and methodology, Terraform or Pulumi preferred.
