Job Summary

As a Minit Stop Customer Service Associate - Cashier, you are responsible for assisting your team with the day to day running of the store operation. In your role, you have the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service while handling tasks such as cashiering, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking and facing products, assisting with light food preparation and engaging with our customers throughout the day.

General Requirements

•You must be 18 years of age or older

•A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.

•You must possess the ability to understand the basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division as well as the ability to read and understand basic instructions and company policies and procedures.

•You should be able to resolve simple store related situations through the understanding of our store procedures.

•You must have the ability to communicate with customers and coworkers in a clear, professional and courteous manner at all times both orally in person and over the phone, and in writing.

•A basic understanding and knowledge of computers is required in order to carry out required day to day aspects of the job.

•You should be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet with or without reasonable accommodation.

•You must possess the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.

•You are also required to obtain a County Liquor Card and Safe Food Handlers Certificate within 60 days of hire

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

•Greet and serve customers as they enter the store and assist whenever required, to provide professional customer service in a fast, friendly and courteous manner.

•Operate the store Point of Sale system efficiently and assume sole responsibility for the attached cash register and any cash or other forms of payment taken throughout your shift.

•Maintain continued inspection of the store cleanliness and presentation including organizing, restocking and refreshing items as the day goes on.

•Assist with the receiving of inventory on a routine basis utilizing technology as well as basic math skills to ensure product counts are logged.

•Monitor and maintain stock levels of items on shop floor shelving and coolers and assist in ensuring pricing, expiration dates and merchandising is accurate.

•Learn and understand basic food safety procedures including awareness of temperature related requirements for key ingredients and products to avoid food-borne illness.

•Properly prepare, handle and serve food items to ensure high standards of quality and food service are observed at all times.

•Be able to execute both opening and closing procedures should the need arise

•Possess the ability and willingness to work as part of a team in a professional manner including communication, distribution of work duties and quality of work.

•Understand and abide by the companies Rules of Conduct, policies and procedures.

•Compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Company safety, health and environmental regulations.

•Report to work on time and when scheduled and understand and honor the correct protocol to follow in the event of being unable to work.

•Other duties and special projects as assigned.
