To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. 

\n

1.  Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

\n

2.      Documents patient care given.

\n

3.      Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and/or family.

\n

4.      Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

\n

5.  Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and    spiritual/psychosocial support needed.

\n

6.    Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.

\n

7.      Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

\n

8.      Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:     Associate degree or higher in nursing\n

                                    BLS – required upon hire and continuously thereafter.

\n

                                    ACLS – required within 6 months of hire and continuously thereafter.

\n

                                    PALS – required within 6 months of hire and continuously thereafter.

\n

                                    NRP - required within 6 months of hire and continuously thereafter.

\n

                                    CPI – required within 1 year of hire and annually thereafter.

\n

                                    Certification in Area of Specialty – Preferred.

Experience:

\n

2 years of level II nursery experience is highly preferred
