POSITION SUMMARY
As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will be working closely with other members of the design team and department director to meet the needs of the department. Your main duties include producing designs for various mediums including digital and print, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring deadlines are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with other members of the Midlab creative team
- Maintain and update existing design files as required
- Understand and follow a brand's style guide
- Creating and editing product photography for use in print and digital media
- Use design templates to build out product labels
- Prepare design files for final print and digital formats
- Review all work for errors
- Work with and interpret technical documents for use in packaging design
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Associate's Degree (AA) in Graphic Design or a related field of study from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree (BA or BFA) in Graphic Design or a related field of study from a 4-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of Graphic Design software in a Windows environment. The employee is required to have skills and abilities in the following areas:
- Use of Adobe CS products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat
- Use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Must possess a basic knowledge of the print process.
- Strong organizational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
