MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Registered Nurse opportunity include, but are not limited to:

1. Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents
2. Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment
3. Monitor, as directed, inmate/resident inpatient hospitalizations for early releases whenever appropriate
4. Operate pill calls, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures
5. Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured
6. Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff
7. Regularly evaluate the provision of medical services to prevent the inappropriate use or duplication of those services
8. Be a model of professionalism and compassion by serving as an ambassador to this organization

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:

1. 1+ years of recent nursing experience required
2. BLS issued through American Heart Association
3. Must be eligible to work in the United States
4. RN license in NM
5. US Citizenship required for facility clearance
