Our work depends on Project/Task Sr Manager joining our team to be responsible for planning, monitoring and delivery of IT related customer focused projects within a large infrastructure environment. The candidate will work closely with various software engineering, infrastructure, and technical operations teams, as well as the customer to assess requirements, coordinate resources and deliver projects for our customer. The Project Manager must possess strong organizational, leadership, written and verbal communication skills while having the ability to articulate highly technical and complex project requirements to both customers and internal teams.

HOW A PROJECT/TASK SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supervises at least 25 employees
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project tasks including contract and subcontractor management. Specifically,
  • Function as the Infrastructure Operations Manager with specific responsibilities in the following areas: Infrastructure Planning
  • Capture Infrastructure Requirements-
    • Facilitate communications to operations staff
    • Sponsor priorities
    • Security Evaluations
    • User issues/needs to operations staff
    • Technical direction/standards
    • Provide detailed operations reporting
    • Solicit/summarize staff observations
    • Recommend Improvements-
    • Input to initial grouping and scope development
    • Input/participate in providing sponsor recommendations
  • Project Management/Systems Engineering
  • Implement Improvements:
  • Support project lifecycle tasks
  • Support deconflicting project resources
  • Establish criteria for transition to operations
  • Participate in post project evaluation
  • Manage Operations
  • Deliver and Support
  • Oversee operations staff and define and oversee operations processes
  • Change/configuration management
  • Inventory Management
  • Oversee Network/system maintenance
  • Supervises assigned staffing
  • Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting
  • May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks
  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload
  • Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary liaison
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
  • Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience, including supervisory experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure elements and technologies
  • Effective management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Outstanding customer focus and service skills
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Poly
  • Preferred Skills: Professional certification (PMP) preferred
  • Location: On Customer Site
  • US Citizenship Required
